Having trouble keeping up with what is going on in the news today? My husband is awesome at this. He frequently starts after-work conversations with me by saying, “did you read about ……?” Usually my answer is no…. but I really wish it was yes. I can handle it when I didn’t know about a law change in Afghanistan, or a scientific discovery relating to black holes. These things are important but not information I should know about. When it really gets my goat is when he tell me about something in the news like a law being passed regarding education, Common Core state standards, or Testing. These are things I should know about but I feel I don’t have enough time to read about. Sound familiar?
Well, my hubby is going to help me, and I am in turn going to try to help you. He loves reading the news and scouring news sites for interesting information. He has promised to scour the web for news articles relevant to teachers and email them to me. I will read them, and also post them on my new page, “Education in the News.” This way we can all keep current on events that impact our careers, and our children. I will try to update the page by noon daily (earlier if I can today I updated at by 10:00am).
